About

Exmoor
Ponies
In early November last year, a number of Exmoor ponies
were brought to Tiptree Heath to begin their stay there
during the winter months. So far, they have settled in
very well, with many people, including healthwalkers,
coming to see them.
The plan is for the ponies to stay in the Maldon end
compartment for about six weeks, and then move to the
Tiptree end for the rest of the winter. We are hopeful that therre will be enough
food and shelter to last until Easter.
I'd like to express my thanks to Leanne Sargeant of the
Essex Wildlife Trust and Liz Pitman, our horse whisperer,
for all the time they've spent with the ponies to help
ensure that their time in Tiptree will be safe and
successful.Joan
